If you are a coffee lover like me you might wonder what is it in this drink that makes you fall really in-love with it. For me, a cup of black coffee in the morning completes my daily routine. Back when I was younger, even if it’s the only thing I have for breakfast it will already set my mood through out the whole day. And it fills me up until lunch time. There is something about coffee that seems too addicting.

Black coffee perks me up in the morning. While in the afternoon, if I want to feel relaxed, I’ll just grab a 3-in-1 sachet and drink it. According to Google, an ingredient from coffee which is called “caffeine” is what keeps us awake and full of energy. But what ever it is, I am just very thankful for who ever discovered coffee… 🙂

For moms like me, we need an energy booster everyday. Our tasks are not really decreasing as each day comes. That is why we need all the help we can get for us to do all our tasks. Thanks to my coffee, I am able to finish my tasks for the day. If not all, at least I manage to complete some.

But as I have said in my last blog (Ways To Lessen Your Kids Screen Time), every thing that is too much is not good. Just like in using gadgets, too much coffee may lead to bad results like heart palpitations, insomnia, teeth discoloration and stomach ulcer. So, in my case, I have started to lessen my coffee intake. From 4 cups a day I reduced it into 1 – 2 cups a day. And I also make sure that I take a bite first before coffee intake.

Even with all these negative feedbacks about coffee, there are some health benefits of being in-love with it. Here are some that I have known so far from researching on Google:

1. It lessens depression. (So true.. I feel happy whenever I drink coffee.. 🙂 )

2. Lowers the risk of heart disease.

3. Protects against Parkinson’s disease, liver disease and type 2 diabetes.

4. It is a good source of antioxidants.

Well, CHEERS to all the coffee lovers out there like me! At least, now we know that this love of coffee will lead us to better health if we know how to control our addiction to this good smelling beans. Now lets take a zip and enjoy it… 🙂
